Creating an Effective Business Plan – A 4-Part Series Radio Show

I am so excited about our upcoming 4-part series on creating an effective business plan.  Wednesday, November 26th, I will be hosting Part 1 of a 4-part series on Diva Talk Radio.

One of the best things that you can do for yourself, prior to starting a business, is to sit down and write your business plan.  However, if you’re already in business, it’s not to late to plan for the future of your business.

A business plan will help you gain focus and think through each aspect of your business. It will also help you remain focused when you get discouraged or feel overwhelmed. You can figure out how to deal with possible problems before they occur.

I have put together an Action Guide for you to use during our talk show.  At the end of the four weeks, you will have completed an entire business plan that you can start to utilize immediately. Be sure to sign up for the Action Guide by going to  Once you sign up, we’ll email to you the first part of the Action Guide.

So join us as we explore and create an effective road map to your business’ success.  We’ll see you Wednesday!

Until next time…wear your heels well!

Faster Than Running Snot!

Faster than running snot.

More powerful than 680 kids.

Able to leap 30 second graders in a single bound.

Look! Over in the gym!

It’s a volunteer.  It’s a mom.  It’s Super-Diva!

Wow! Today was an incredibly awesome day! I had the pleasure of volunteering at ‘The Boy’s’ school for their annual Fall Festival.  Upon arriving at the school, I was asked to (wo)man the inflatable bouncy thingy.  I thought to myself “how hard can this be?”  You have the kids remove their shoes, load them in the jumping thingy, allow them to jump for “x” amount of time and get out.  Then, you start all over again with the next group.  Right?

Well, between being sneezed on (“snot” flying everywhere), eventually having 680 screamingly over-excited kids come through my line, and stepping over the little guys who insisted on sitting at my feet…it was a pretty good day.

The little ones were so cute and so excited to jump and jump and jump.  Then the “big kids on campus” came through and they were so excited to jump, knock down, tackle, flip over, and dog-pile all of their friends in the middle of the jumping thingy.  Okay, the last group…not so cute (except ‘The Boy’ (my son) of course!)  Oh and not to forget to mention…they were the “smelliest” out of the entire school.  Thank God they teach personal hygiene in 6th grade! Gross, stinky boys!

Actually, I really enjoyed the day volunteering at the boy’s school and look forward to the next event.  Keep in mind y’all, I did all of this while wearing a lovely pair of black and stylish stilettos!

Happy Father’s Day…Diva Style

Fathers Day Glitter Graphics

Enjoy your day, dad…if it weren’t for you, I would

not be where I am today!!

Dad, you ROCK!!

Dimples and Toolbelts…Oh my!

Girlfriends, to be a true DIVA you have to be able to do a lot of things.  One of my greatest passions are  POWER TOOLS.  Yes, I do have a hot pink toolbelt with matching hot pink stilettos!  Did you think any differently?  Every opportunity that I get to watch “Cool Tools” on HGTV, I do.  Well, in one particular episode the host talked about a new tool called “The Stiletto Dimpler“.  Needless to say, that name alone caught my attention.  Any tool that has “stiletto” in it’s name…I’ve got to have!

The tool is pretty cool in that when removing a nail from a piece of wood, the Stiletto Dimpler puts an indented ring around the nail head so that the nail can be removed without splintering the wood.  It’s a neat tool with a DIVA name…I like that!

So for all you toolbelt divas out there, check out this tool.  Also, send us a comment on what tool you like, we would like to hear from you!

Until next time…wear your heels well!

Raw Meat Makes Me Want To Throw-Up!

The other day I was talking to my stepmom who is as southern as they come.  She loves working outside in her garden, loves horses, and is just an all around wonderful lady.  Well, during our conversation, she told me that a family would be dropping off some chickens so I assumed that she was going to start raising chickens.  That was not the case!  The family was dropping the chickens off so that she could ring their necks and pluck them!  All I can say is…..G-R-O-S-S!!  Just the thought of it makes me want to throw-up!! While I love meat and will not turn down a good steak, I cannot look at raw meat.  Just being in the meat section, at a local grocery store, grosses me out!

This past Monday (Memorial Day), I thought that I would be a good wife and make dinner for my darling hubby.  Afterall, he does ALL of the cooking as I was not made to be in the kitchen.  Let’s just say the fire department is on speed dial when I try to cook.  It’s not pretty!  Anyway, back to my story, I decided that I was going to make a pork roast in the crockpot…not hard, right?  Well, it was because I had to handle the raw meat!  So, I put on a pair of rubber gloves and goggles and proceeded to wash the meat, put a pork rub on it and placed it in the crockpot.

This was all done, of course, in a lovely pair of pink stilettos!

My husband thought I was crazy, but got a good laugh while watching me attempt to make him dinner.  He especially got a thrill out of the rubber gloves and goggles.  Hey, a diva has got to protect herself, right?  I gladly turned the kitchen back over to him on Tuesday!!

So girlfriend, try something new today.  Just remember to wear your high-heels and definitely wear gloves…you don’t want to get your hands dirty and ruin those lovely nails!!

Until next time…wear your heels well!! (it’s almost ready for its launch!)
